Scout of the Year

The Veterans of Foreign Wars has a Scout of the Year Scholarship. The top award is $5,000. Posts can recommend one scout to represent our community. Please note that candidates applications must be received by posts by March 1st, 2013. Learn more and download applications

Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy Scholarships

The VFW essay and oral essay scholarships themes for 2013-14 are as follows:

Patriots Pen – “What Patriotism Means to Me”
Voice of Democracy – “Why I’m Optimistic About our Nation’s Future”

Entry submissions at the local post level is November 1, 2013.

Posts are reminded to destroy all 2012-13 entry forms, program materials and other related documents that contain last years themes. This includes updating local post websites, publications and announcements.
