With two beauty queens assisting with the effort, the day served as the focal point for Durham VA Medical Center’s local National Salute to Veteran Patients Week observance as employees, volunteers, caring school children, family members and ordinary citizens showed their love for our heroes by sending valentines and visiting hospitalized patients.
