Texas Steakhouse Gives Free Meals to Military – Nov 12th

Texas Steakhouse and Saloon is honoring servicemen and women for Veteran’s Day by giving free meals to anyone with a valid military ID and raising money for veterans. The efforts will take place on Monday, Nov. 12, which is when the federal government is celebrating the holiday this year.

Texas Steakhouse and Saloon has a long-standing relationship with the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that helps injured armed service members. One dollar of the proceeds from every Grandma’s Shortcake sold goes to the W.W.P. In addition to this effort, patrons will also be encouraged to donate $1 to the W.W.P. on Veteran’s Day.

“With our customers’ help, we have raised over $51,000 for wounded military members,” said Chief Operating Officer, George Crane. “All of that was raised through single dollar donations, so we really stress that every little bit matters. We want to do all we can to help our troops.”

In addition to a free meal for veterans, up to five friends and family members will receive a 10 percent discount when dining with military members.

All 19 of Texas Steakhouse and Saloon’s locations throughout North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia will participate in the event on Monday, Nov. 12. For more information about the company, visit texassteakhouse.com.
