Greetings. I have just watched a video to the two Airmen that were re-united after learning that they flew combat missions together during WWII. The B-17 Bomber pilot was identified as a pillot who flew missions out of Italy. At about the 1:05 minute mark of the video, the pictures show activity at an airfield in Italy. Tents can be seen in the video, and they look remarkably similar to those my father lived in while working as a Mechanic on B-17 Bombers, at Capo de Keno airfield, outside of Naples.
I am wondering if this is the same airfield where John Heilbrun flew out of, while he was serving in the Army Air Corps?
My father, Staff Sergeant Alex Brady, was a member of the 302ND Depot Repair Squadron, operating out of Capo de Keno airfield.
Any assistance would be appreciated to help confirm or refute the possibe coincidence.
