The Wake Forest Veterans Memorial is co-sponsoring a special event to support our veteran amputees. It is the All American Ride and Glide on November 2, 2013.
Here is their story. “This idea got started by a group in Wake Forest, NC called the Wake Forest Veterans Memorial (WFVM). For the past 12 years the WFVM has maintained a beautiful site in Wake Forest dedicated to remembering our fallen soldiers of all wars. The 2012 Billy Ray Camero Open Golf Tournament is being hosted by VFW Post 5631 in Sanford. Dates are Sep 28th to 30th.
There are some openings still available. Accommodations at the Sanford Comfort Suites are about full, but the Holiday Inn Express is taking reservations.
Franklin-Sloan Post 7383 is holding an Inaugural Open House on Saturday, October 20th, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event is open to the public. Radio personality Bill LuMaye of WPTF 850 Radio and others will be there. The event includes Smokin’ Express, Classic Car display, kids activities, The Patriot Guard Motorcycles, live music, and a silent Auction.Read More
