District Meetings

Each District within the NC State Department holds meetings throughout the year.  All post leaders (post commander and quartermaster) are required to attend their district meetings.  However, all members of a post are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Active posts develop their officers and members through district meetings and Flying Squadron training events.  Encourage your officers to attend and include new members who want to learn more about the Veterans of Foreign Wars and other posts within your district.  We can learn from those around us.

View their schedules here – NOTE THAT THIS INFORMATION WAS UPDATED AUG 31ST WITH A LOCATION CHANGE FOR DISTRICT 3

Special Note:  District Elections now follow the same manner as for election of national and state officers.  That is, each post has one delegate vote for every 30 comrades, and certain individuals have one individual vote each.  See Article IV, Sections 222, 404, and 423 of the VFW National Bylaws.  National bylaws are not available on line.  See your post commander or adjutant to review a post copy.

I need help for my dad who is retired Air Force and belongs to VFW. He just moved to Wendell, NC and needs help finding the nearest meeting place. He served in VD, has health issues and will be needing good doctors there. I live in California..my dad was moved there by my sister recently and left to defend for himself. So I really need all you Veterans help. He is also in desperate need of a attorney, I just found out my sister had him sign power of attorney for all health and financial issues. Needless to say he needs help ,He is of sound mind so that is not a issue. Too many family issues, I just need to get him to a meeting place so he can have contact with others to obtain information. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated. Thank You and GOD BLESS.
